Iedereen spreekt wel een woordje Engels...

A very popular place to visit in Krabi is Khao Khanap Nam, a couple of raged hills, the natural gateway to Krabi, stretching 100m out of the water. lnside Khao Khanap Nam are several magnificent caves with impressive clusters of stalactites and stalagmites. The only way to get there is by boat from the Chao Fah Bridge in Krabi.

Khao Khanap Nam..These two hills, roughly 100 meters high, flank the Krabi River running between them to form a distinctive vista and the town's most prominent landmark.

To visit them, take a long-tail boat from Chao Fa Pier; travel time is just 15 minutes. From there take stairs leading up to caves with stalactites and stalagmites. † A large number of human skeletons have been found here. It is theorized that they and the remains of people who came and established a home at Kanab Nam, but were cut off by an inundation and quickly perished.

Details: There are no admission fees involved in a visit to Khao Khanap Nam, however, most people combine the trip with a visit to local mangrove forests and Koh Klang fishing village. To do this you can rent a boat for around 300 Baht per trip.
